Ron Paul Supporter Heckled Sarah Palin

Filed under: Politics — Cato Uticensis @ 3:09 PM

You may have heard about the heckler who was removed while Sarah Palin was campaigning for John McCain. It appears the heckler is a Ron Paul supporter.

After his arrest he says:

“I’m trying to save America, I like America, I like Americans, I just don’t like John McCain…I don’t like Obama, I don’t like McCain, I like Ron Paul”…

  3. Jumping to the defense of McCain of all people and tossing out a supporter of CPAC's favored makes it clear the Palin has sold out. She really was just an airhead opportunist. Ron Paul 2012!

  4. We have little to no freedom of speech anymore. People like Palin, McCain and the establishment political candidates rely on political correctness and a neutering of the blunt truth. It allows them to give their watered down bull. Hell, we expect it now. If anyone speaks with heart and conviction people think they're nuts.

Our government is a greater threat to our civil liberties than terrorists EVER WILL BE.
Our foreign policy is NOT CONSERVATIVE and THAT'S BEEN THE PROBLEM.

  5. Sarah Palin and Ron Paul supporters are doing great together with Rubio in FL and Rand Paul in Kentucky. There are those who would benefit from putting a wedge between the two groups to make them less of a winning combination — where they can agree, which will not be in every case. Ron Paul supporters have no incentive to heckle Sarah Palin.

On the other hand, in Nevada Sue Lowden, one Senate candidate, headed the state GOP which fled the state convention to shut it down when Ron Paul delegates were overwhelmingly being elected to National. Remember that Ron Paul, not McCain, came in second in Nevada, and the delegates to the state convention preferred Ron Paul. Ron Paul supporters will not vote for her. There are other candidates in the primary, and while Ron Paul supporters may have favorites, when it comes to voting against Reid, I'm pretty certain all would be fired up against Reid, unless his opponent were Lowden. The party could come together on a candidate acceptable to all, and win. Or it could splinter over infighting, perhaps let Lowden in, and lose.

    Reid wins then.

Again, Ron Paul supporters have no incentive to heckle Sarah Palin, who has endorsed Rand Paul in Kentucky. Others have incentive to drive the two factions against eachother, however.
